Terms of Service

🚫 I will not undertake any commissions depicting underage characters (below the age of 18), non-consenting individuals and non-sapient beings in a sexual or suggestive light. 🚫

By commissioning me you are agreeing to my Terms of Service/Use and agreeing to the following basic conditions

• You are at least 18 years of age or the age of legal consent in your region. 

• I reserve the right to refuse any commission for any reason, personal or otherwise. 

• I reserve the right to use your commission to advertise my work.

• You must confirm that you have read and agreed to this list of terms and conditions, before payment is sent.

If you are ordering adult content of any kind, by agreeing with this document you are declaring that you are legally able to do so.
 

Make sure you include ALL information you want considered in your commission, up front. Anything not specified (personality, mood, pose, background location etc) will be considered artistic liberty.

1: The sketch stage
 

At the moment of finalisation of the commission, please specify details (through visual reference or written text) including but not limited to the following; Pose, Outfit, Body type etc. 

During the sketch stage of your commission most changes can be asked for, as long as they do not alter the overall pose or idea that you gave me when commissioning me,
 

 Eg: If you asked for your character to be sitting cross legged, you can not then ask for them to be doing a hand-stand. However, you could ask that the character be crossing their arms rather than leaning back on them.
 

Further edits (other than mistakes on my part) may cost additional charge. If the commissioner chooses to go along with a different sketch than the first one presented to them, I reserve the right to use the rejected sketch as a YCH or for personal use.

2. Lining and flat colour

Once the sketch is confirmed, I will line your commission and add flat colour, you will then receive another WIP.

You can make any changes to the flat colour during this phase, for example the placement of markings.

If I have made any mistakes in the lineart, I will fix them for free, however should you decide you want any other changes, there may be an additional charge.

Eg: If you want an already lined character making a little fatter, giving longer ears, etc.

3. Rendering

This is the final stage of your commission before you are given the final file. This includes shading, highlights and detailing.

Please note,  I cannot make edits to the piece once it has been rendered.

4. Image delivery
 

You will receive a full sized, 300dpi, flat PNG file, sent via a file transfer link by email.
 

If you have a specific size requirement, it must be noted before sketching has started. 

I will not remove, or move my watermark or signature from the completed image.

I will not send the original open file unless image rights have been purchased.

WORKS IN PROGRESS

You must have visual reference images for the character, but not necessarily a reference sheet.  

If any aspect of the character is unclear, and a mistake is made because your reference is not clear, you are not entitled to free edits. Flat colour, full body, multi-view reference sheets are preferred. 

I am happy to work from descriptions, screenshots, or simple ref images, but may charge character design fees (see 'additional fees' section)

Free edit requests may be denied if:

• Requested edits are different than originally discussed commission

• Previous sketch was confirmed, and changes were requested past the approval stage

• Alterations are not included in the reference image

PAYMENT

There are two payment options available :

• 100% up front 

• 50% up front, 50% after sketch approval

Progress on commissions using the second option, will halt after the sketch approval, until the second payment is complete. 

Commissions made using the 50\50 payment plan may be put on hold until they are paid in full. 

I will expect payment in the next 72 hours beyond which your spot in the queue may be pushed back.

Deposits (in any amount) are 100% non-refundable if the commissioner decides to cancel.

If I am unable to contact you using your provided contact information, or payment method for more than 4 weeks, your commission will be considered indefinitely on hold. Your place in the queue, and turnaround time estimate will be voided. You may contact me to discuss completion of the commission at a chargeable fee

TURN AROUND TIME

Turn around time depends on the complexity and size of your commission. Normally commissions will be completed between 14 days, and 2 months. You will be given an estimated turn-around time for your piece when we discuss your commission, and before payment.

If you require completion by a fixed deadline, realise a fee will incur. The fee will depend on the complexity of the work, and how soon you want it done.

CANCELLATIONS

I reserve the right to cancel a service for any reason. You may request a cancellation, but it may or may not be granted on a case-by-case basis.

If your work has not been started, you may be given a full refund. If work is partially complete, you may receive a partial refund based on the completion percentage. If I am at fault for the cancelation, your compensation will be more in your favour.

If work has begun on your commission but you still wish to cancel,any progress that has been made will be sold on as a YCH. 

I may cancel a commission due to:

1. Personal issues

2. Inability to complete work

3. Technical difficulties

4. Customer TOS violations

5. Unprofessional customer behaviour
